The beach of Triopetra (it means “three stones”, after the three rocks ) is a long sandy beach located south of Rethymnon city in Crete. Even though the beach is organized with taverns, rooms, sunbeds and umbrellas, it never seems to be very crowded. Visitors should know that camping is not allowed on the beach, but there is a cave near the three rocks where you can find shade. There is also a small river, with fresh water all year round at the area.
Triopetra is very popular to people who love peace and quiet.
